The homeowners, both keen gardeners, asked for horticultural advice and design enhancements, which included ideas on the positioning of a new seating area. With their gothic folly and dark and brooding planting, this garden required a light touch, due to it being a haven for wildlife. Birds, frogs, insects and dragonflies abound. I recommended additional planting and we placed the seating in a westerly position next to the gentle stream trickling into their pond. A perfect spot for aperitifs.
